My emails go to the outbox but I can delete them from there. When I try to
move them to my drafts folder they just dissapear completely. I have read the
other problems people are having about not being able to send emails but mine
seems to be different as I can delete them from the outbox. Can somebody help
me ?

That probably means you are not correctly set up to connect to your
outgoing email server. Ask your email provider (who is probably also
your internet provider) for instructions for setting up. If they haven't
written instructions for Windows Mail yet, use their instructions for
Outlook Express but under Windows Mail instead. The instructions
are probably somewhere on their web site. Or, you could tell us
who your email provider is and see if anyone here already knows
where to find the instructions.

My email problems just started today. Before today everything was fine. I
also have an expired Mcafee anti virus that came with my PC??

Any error message when you try to send?
Which antivirus program are you running?

Uninstall McAfee. Reboot, then try sending again. If there is
an error message, post it here.

One thing I have to mention, the reason I am posting this here is that I am
not computer savy. How do I uninstal Mcafee?

The same way you would uninstall any program:
Go to Control Panel, (Classic View), Programs and Features.
There may be multiple entries for McAfee; if so,delete each one.
If there is an error during the uninstall, don't panic, because McAfee
has a special removal utility for when that happens.

I have uninstalled Mcafee, I have made sure my incoming and outgoing settings
are set to mail.bellsouth.net and I am still having most of the same
problems. Every time I try to send an mail out it goes to my outbox but now I
can move it to the drafts folder and when I try to resend it it goes back
into the outbox and remains there. And now when I close windows mail it tells
me I have unsent messages in my outbox and if I want to send them now. There
has to be something else I can do???
Thanks

You may have to delete your email account under Windows Mail, restart
Windows Mail again, and create the account again to get rid of all the
problems McAfee left behind.

Also, click on Tools, then Accounts, then your email account, then
Properties. If there's no check mark in the box before Include this
account when receiving mail or synchronizing, click on this box and
then Apply. Click on OK and then Close.

Click on Tools, then Options, then Send. If there's no check mark in
the box before Send messages immediately, click on this box and then
Apply. Click on OK.

Can you give me a quick "How To" on that? I am not sure how to delete my

In Windows Mail, deleting an account does not delete any messages,
nor does it affect anything else like the addressbook (contacts).
Go to Tools, Accounts, select (highlight) the account, click Remove.

Did you verify the other two options that Robert asked you to check?

If those don't pan out, then one solution would be to upgrade your
Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail:
