cannot send email

The error message is

Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

I am running Vista.

Your settings (as revealed in the error message) look fine.
Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not fully
compatible with Windows Mail.
