cannot send email

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'lkajfdgloagljlkj', Account:
'my mail', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I use to be able to send my mails (using vista) but for a month now I havent
been able to send anything.the above error message is all I got. I have tried
changing the outgoing port to 587 then 465 and both still error messages. I
have tried changing the incoming (currently default 119) and changed to
995...but still nothing.

I am using wireless broadband at home. Clueless now. Please help.

Where did you get those settings from?
If you pay the $20 per year for Yahoo's Mail Plus, use these settings:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html

Free US-based Yahoo accounts don't have POP access.

i use yahoo.co.uk and used the POP settings from my account. It worked before
now it doesnt!

Doesn't look like the right server name to me for such a connection.

Due to the server names you used, I assumed you were US-based.
Robert already gave you the link for Yahoo.uk settings.
