Cannot send attachments

I use the same email addie at work and at home. To transfer documents to my
home PC, I like to email them to myself at the end of the day then log in at
home and pick the emails up. I just bought a VISTA computer, and the email
will go through but the attachments are not there. I turn my anti-virus
email scanning off. Will this help? What's causing it?
 
Assuming you use MS Outlook at work, only send messages to yourself (at
home) using Plain Text format, especially if there's an attachment.
