cannot select Sent Items

the pop-up message : "could not select "Sent Items" on the IMAP server.You
might try refreshing your folder list to synchronise with the IMAP server"
appears every time I click on Sent Items.
Why and what to do?

This newsgroup is short on IMAP experts, so you may have to wait longer
for an answer than people who ask about other parts of Windows Mail.
 
It might save time, if you can find one likely to offer useful answers. I
haven't
found one on the Microsoft Communities server, but if you've already set up
access to some other newsgroups server, the following newsgroup at least
has imap in its name:

comp.mail.imap
