Cannot see wireless comp on network

Hi,

I have a wired network with 1 98SE and XP Home computers
and I recently bought a D-Link wireless adapter for
another Win 98SE computer and a D-Link router. The
wireless computer can access the internet and a shared
printer but I cannot see it in Network Places. It cannot
see any other computer on the network. File and Printer
sharing has been activated but access is only to the
printer.

Why can't I see the computer on the network? I tried
disabling the SP2 firewall and McAfee virus scanner to no
avail.

Any suggestions will be welcome.

You have 2 independent NICs and they both have different IP numbers and
subnets so they aren't connected UNLESS you bridge the two on the computer
that holds both attached.

Alternatively, if your router does DHCP and allows for both wired and
wireless, you can get IT to assign IPs and then everything will be seen
fine.
