Cannot see anything in the recycle bin while something is in it.

When we delete a file, the reclye bin's icon changes to a
not-empty icon. That is good, however, when we double
click the recycle bin, it opens with the deleted file
shows on the list for may be just one second and
disappears. However, the recycle bin icon still show as
something in it. It is so strange.

Do you have something like Norton un-erase installed that
can create some problems or some washer progams that also
operate recycle bin try checking them if you have them.
If you dont might try running System File Check if you
have xp cd Start/Run type cmd click ok/ at command prompt
window type sfc/ scannow (1 space after /) you will
then be prompted to insert xp cd, this will check system
files and repair them automatically. Hope this helps.
