Cannot see Activities on a shared Contact folder

I get the message:

No folders are defined for the Activities tab on contacts in this contact
folder. Right-click on the contact folder, and then click Properties. On
the Activities tab, set the folders that should be searched for items
associated with this contact.

However, on the shared contact folders, there is no Activities tab. If I go
to properties on my Contacts, I have an Activities tab where I can select the
items.

Any suggestions?

That's normal. The Activities tab looks in your Mailbox and shows you
what's there that relates to your Contact. It works for your Contacts
folder and your Mailbox. I vaguely recall an add-on (maybe from Slovak)
that helps it look outside of your Mailbox but can't point you there. Try
going to www.slipstick.com and searching from there.
