Cannot schedule maintenance task

While trying to setup my Dell 2400 with XP Home Edition to run scheduled maintenance tasks such as disk defragment, virus scan and disk clean I am getting the following message:

"The new task has been created, but may not run because the account information could not be set. The specific error is: 0x8007007a: The data area passed to a system call is too small'?

Any help would be appreciated.
