Cannot save project in DV-AVI format!!!

I always save my files into DV-AVI so I can export to Roxio to create a DVD.
I have worked on this project for a Grad party this saturday for over 15
hours and am kind of freaking out. I try to save as a AVI but it just sits
there. I tried twice and let it run overnight and still nothing, no bars at
all. This is a larger project than my others (about 2 MB), says it needs 2220
MB of space, and I have 1.87 GB available. My computer has not been running
well lately, need to reformat, but I've still been able to save and burn. I'm
at a loss. Any suggestions?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY INFO!

Thanks for the info. I have been advised (by my father, PC guru, but not
familiar with "all of that movie/photo stuff") to defrag my C drive since it
seems to be saving something (when I finally decide to cancel the saving it
tells me it will take a few minutes to delete what has been saved) that maybe
even though I have plenty of space it cannot find big enough storage spaces.
I'll see if this works, I hope so. I don't know how I would even know if
there is one corrupt file.I scanned in 130 pics and have three songs.
If that does not work I will try maybe a couple of the suggestions in those
pages.
THanks!
