cannot save film to disc

I have editied my film, put philips cd-r80 into disc drive, once installed I cannot hear it turn, it say's it has saved 50% then message saying it cannot it the save the film in that location.........PLEASE HELP !!!.
 
Hello,
Assuming that you are able to write to CD-R discs with no problem using
the explorer of Windows XP we have seen this problem if the disc being
written to is not completely blank. Could the disc have had somethign
written to it prior to being used for this?
