cannot run in safe mode

My computer cannot be started in safe mode anymore. When trying to do so (F8
safe mode) it reaches the logon screen with the different users, but restarts
itself within a few seconds. The system has also slowed down recently,
especially during logon. Ideas?

Hi,

Try going to Start/Run/Msconfig. Boot.Ini and check off /SafeBoot.
Apply/Ok, reboot.
