cannot run find & replace on Excel tables in Word

I copied and pasted 13 tables from Excel into Word and now I'm trying to run
Find & Replace but it doesn't work (I know how to do it in Excel but need in
Word!). I tried all possible Paste Special like rtf, unformatted text but
find and replace still doesn't work. Can anybody help, please!

Since you mention nothing about versions this is a general response, but
unless you pasted as MS Excel Worksheet Object, Picture (WMF/EMF) or Bitmap
Find & Replace should have no problem. Check the Find & Replace dialog for
any residual settings left behind from a previous use - Click the More
button & examine the checkboxes, look to see if there are any Format specs
indicated below the Find What: or Replace With: fields. Using 2003 I have no
problem with F&R when pasting Excel content as Formatted Text, Unformatted
Text or HTML.

If the F&R settings are correct but you still have problems post back with
more specific info about the content, whether you can directly select & edit
it, as well as which version of Office you're using.
