Cannot reply to messages from aol members

I can receive mail from aol members but I cannot send or reply to them, why
is this? when I try to reply to an aol.com message it is instantly returned
as undeliverable and saying that my mail settings are incorrect. If this is
so then why can I reply to everybody else but not to aol addresses?

this coule be a problem with the smtp server you're using... contact your
isp (after checking the email address is right !)

Thanks Neil but why can I reply to all other mail addresses, it doesn't add
up. I first noticed this problem about a month ago, i had not been able to
use any of my e mail addresses to reply to a contact from ebay and as a
consequence cannot send the item that she won from me. The only way that I
could contact her was via Hotmail, and not my pop3 mail. The returned
Undeliverable mails that I got when I tried to reply to her mail said that
there was an error with aol. I don't understand it.

it's because of the way outgoing mail is sent, I think your ebay example
clarifies that it's a problem with your ISP who doesn't have their DNS set
up correctly.
