When I try to remove the column header "Sort by: header status" in Outlook
2007, it removes for the duration that Outlook is open, but the column header
comes right back when Outlook is launched again. I have been searching and
searching and cannot find a solution posted anywhere. Thank you in advance
for help!

Hi Nick,

Thank you for posting.

From your post, I understand you would like to remove the Header Status
column. Nevertheless, after restart the Outlook, the Header Status column
is added back again. If I'm off base, please feel free to let me know.

Regarding the issue, I would like to explain that it is a known product
issue. Currently, there is no fix for the issue.

The only workaround currently is to have the Outlook connects to Exchange
through Online Mode and remove the Header Status column.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Mike Shen

Mike, you are correct in understanding my issue and I understand that
Microsoft recognizes this issue. However, do you know why Outlook worked in
Cached Exchange mode without the header status icon for so long? I believe
the column appeared when I changed the download options for messages
("Download Headers Only", "Download Full Messages" etc.). But now I cannot
get it back that way. Is that part of the issue? Thank you very much in
advance for your time Mike. Also, is there a solution in the works?

Hi Nick,

I have contacted my colleague regarding the issue. Will post the result
here once I got the reply.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your response.

I received the response from my colleague. Unfortunately, Microsoft
currently has not design change regarding the issue. Another customer has
submitted a wish regarding the issue.

I will keep you updated if any news I received.

Thanks,
Mike
