When running IPCONFIG /RELEASE at the command prompt it wont release. Message is "All adapters bound to DHCP do not have IP addresses. The addresses were automatically configured and can not be released".

My ISP doesn't provide static ip addresses.

Anyone have suggestions?

The error message you describe tells us more about the symptom than the
problem. Just guessing, I would say that, for some reason, your network
interface card (NIC)/network adapter isn't getting a valid DHCP address. As
such, it's picking up the default (Windows assigned) address. As a general
rule, that is a Layer 1 problem. Do you have known good cabling? Are you
plugged into the correct port on your broadband/dsl modem?

What operating system are you running?

Sorry, but this is XP machines via a broadband router.
Yes, I beleive it's good cabling.
