cannot receive or send messages through outlook

Hi, I could receive and send email messages yesterday but today it says Timed
out waiting for your POP3 server. If you receive this message contact your
server. My server is bellsouth.net I contacted and they cked a few things and
said everything is working fine to contact Microsoft. I have Micosoft Office
Outlook, I've been on hold 1 hour, can anyone else help me figure out the
problem

Disable e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program to see if the problem
goes away.

That was the problem. From what I understand Norton sent an update that was
blocking microsoft outlook, go figure....
