Cannot read CD ROMs!!

Every time i put a CD ROM into my CD ROM drive i get the message:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. This system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.

Really have no idea why this is doing this!

Any ideas folks?
