Cannot re-map my network drive after I deleted a trojan

The trojan had re-set my various device settings, disabling many items. I
have cleaned the computer and re-set the devices to be enabled. However, I
still cannot re-map my network drive. I did a Windows XP repair and have been
doing some updates on my Evo N800C which will have some memory replaced,
though I don't think the problem is that nor the fact that I was adding a
network connection my home network when the trojan infiltrated.

I thought maybe I would transfer my settings from one of my computers on the
network (serially w/ a cable) and then see if the settings make any
difference.

I have a firewall on the server and run a Symantec VPN - but I am mapping
directly on site, so normally, I would have no trouble.

Any ideas on why I cannot reconnect to my server and re-establish the
network drive? I have even re-established my user status on the network and
tried to enter the network with other operational passwords.

Thanks!!!!

Give LSP-Fix and WinsockXPFix <http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm>, or WinsockFix
<http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=257> a shot.

If XP SP2, Start - Run - "cmd". Type "netsh winsock reset catalog" into the
command window.

If no help yet, reset TCP/IP.

Start - Run - "cmd". Type "netsh int ip reset c:\netsh.txt" into the command
window.

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.

I am still working on this. Tried your suggestions but am working through the
end of them. We also updated w/ Service Pack 2 which the computer did not
recognize for some strange reason. I will take a look again at this tomorrow
and report back on progress.

The thing that mystifies me is that I have internet connectivity, just zero
network. I did the winsock/winsock2 registry backup, winsock fixes and the
various cmd lines but still no luck yet.
