Cannot print to shared printer while VPN is running

2 XP Pro Machines.

One has an hp1200(laser) connected locally(lpt), and shared.

The other machine has the shared printer added and both machines can
print just fine. But, when the first machine(the one with the printer
setup locally) is using its VPN software(Contivity), the other printer
cannot print.

Any ideas?

Is there a firewall that gets enabled when VPNing?
