Hi, I have XP SP2 and actually didnt realize this until after I deleted the
uninstall files which I kept for about 2 months, but I cannot turn off the
Windows firewall permanatly, and I want to, and now that I have removed the
unistall files I cannot uninstall FP2 for XP, can someone help me here to get
this turned of permanatly, its slightly annoying when I am in the middle of
downloading something internally, or in the middle of a internal message chat
and my windows firewall flips on for some reason. There has to be something
in the registry, I know there was a virus that could do this at one time.

Please help me before I go nuts. Thanks

no need to turn off firewall, just go
Control panel, windows firewall
select exception tab
add the programs and ports you want open
You will not bothered any more.
