Cannot Paste a 16x16 Picture into Excel

Hi all,

I am kind of desperate, because I would like to change a button's face
in Excel (for a Macro) to a customized picture. Pasteface is working
fine, however, the picture looks terrible.

I am not able to paste a 16x16 picture into Excel (2002). When I
create an 16x16 image in Paint and insert it as bmp from file or copy
and paste it from paint than it will increase the size of the picture.
Copying it back to paint will return a picture of the size 16x18.
Even if I copy a face from any default button and paste it into Excel,
no 16x16 picture is returned.
Thereby, when using these pictures as faces, the will be distorted.

Did anyone have this problem, or could someone giveme a hint, how I
could work around this?

Seems, as If Excel was changing my 16x16 picture to an whatever
picture (like 48x48 wihtout asking me before.....;-)

Just for information

under customize toolbars one can attach a toolbar to an addin...thereby only the toolbar has to loaded/ unloaded in runtime. No images have to be pasted...

It is possible to attach a toolbar to a worksheet. I will now do this and just load/ unload the toolbar...
