Cannot open Recurring appointments

I dont know if this is an outlook issue or an exchange issue. We are running
outlook 2003 w/ exchange 2003. I have a user that when ever he tries to open
a recurring appointment he gets , Item cannot be found.
Can someone help.

Try opening Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch. Also, is this person
using a PST?
