Cannot open multiple browser windows any longer

When I try to open a second window in IE6 (clicking on IE
icon or file-open or ctl-n), the first window
automatically closes and a new window opens. This just
happened, have always been able to open multiple windows,
but no longer. Can't find anything in the options - any
ideas out there?

im also having that same problem and have no idea what to
do. ive talked to dell on the phone and reset all of the
IE default settings and it still closes all of the
windows when you open another one. please help. thanks

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
