Cannot open ms access link

Hi, here's the problem.
On an Intranet site, there's an MS Access link that one user cannot open, he
doesn't get any options at all...it flickers for about half a second....then
nothing.

He's got a XP machine service pack 2, and with MS Access 2003. The latest IE
updated and all.

The link works for me and others...

Any ideas?

I cannot turn off the antivirus and firewall functions, we have all the same
safety configurations...

can it be some java or active x related thing..
 
The case is solved...
user did not have access to the database on the Intranet...
(Lotus Notes)
