Cannot Open more than one IE 6 Browser Session

I cannot open more than one IE browser session. If I try
to open more than one session, the current site is simply
overwritten by my home page. With Netscape or other
programs I can open up multiple sessions without a
problem. Only having the problem with IE.

Using Windows XP.

Other info. Not sure if this is related or not, as not
sure the problem started when this was done or not.
Somewhat recently loaded Spybot & Adaware. Not sure if
anything in either of those could be related to this
problem or not.

Not sure how you are opening a new instance of the browser. Clicking a URL? or launching a new iexplore.exe from the desktop shortcut or quicklaunch.

For Case 1:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab
3. Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"
4. Close Internet Explorer

Case 2: See: "Cannot open Internet Explorer"

Yahoo companion may be the cause of this.
Uninstall might not help.

Try this on your IE browser
Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
-Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)"

Hope this helps.
