CANNOT OPEN EXCEL FILES

When I double click on an Excel file inside “My documentsâ€, I receive the
following error message; Fill cannot be found. Make sure that the path and
the file name are valid and that all libraries are available.
I found an article in Microsoft referring to that error. At the “Start†menu
I should click “Run†then type “excel/unregserver†and then click “Okâ€. But
unfortunately I received the same error message.
I re-installed Office, but that didn’t work either.
Any ideas of what is going on?
