cannot open containing folder in search results

I am running Vista Home Premium 64 with 4Gb RAM.

In win xp I was able to right-click on a folder in the search results window
and choose Open Containing Folder, which would open in a new window. I am
not seeing that in Vista and it was extremely useful to me. Now, when I
search for, say, all folders with Temp in the name, I get my results and must
double-click on the folder and it opens in the same window. When I'm done
with that folder I have to use the back button and the search rebuilds itself
before I can go onto the next folder in the results. This is SO annoying.

I know that this feature is still available for individual files but I'm
talking about folders.

Does anyone know how to get that option back?

There should be an 'Open folder location' upon right-clicking a folder
within the search results - at least there is with Vista 32 bit

Thanks for the reply Jon, but open folder location is not an option on the
context sensitive right-click menu. I don't know if that is normal for the
64-bit version or not, although it seems that shouldn't matter.

Hey there :)

In Vista, 'Open Containing Folder' has been changed to 'Open Fie
Location', which should be at the bottom of the context menu (I run
Vista 64-bit too).

Hope this helps

Stefan
