cannot open attachment in pdf format

When I receive email that has attachment in .pdf format, I
cannot open it. How can I set this up so I can open the
attachment.

I do have Adobe acrobat installed
I use Windows 2000

Bob,
I use IE to access my web mail, when I want to open
attachment in .pdf format, I'm linked to an "Active X" page
giving me tips to solve the problem, I'm not given the
chance to save it or to open it inside the browser.

How can I fix this?

Are you using the most current version of Adobe? Have you
tried opening Adobe first, and then trying to open your
attached .pdf file?

I would suggest gettting the 6.0 version of Reader, installing it and
then open and set it up to work within the browser under
"Edit","Preferences","General","Options" and see how that works.
