Hi,

I have 2 computers. The first one is connected to broadband internet and
utilises XP Professional. The other wants to share this internet connection
and utilises XP home. I have used the Wizard to set them up and to place them
on the same workgroup. The problem is that neither of the computers can see
each other on the network. How can I fix this?

Do both computers have the ability to access the Internet? Are you using a
router, Switch or Hub? Need to know your networks hardware config to help.

The first one is connected to broadband internet- is this thru a ethernet or
usb modem ?

The other wants to share this internet connection - how is this computer
connected to the one with internet

There are many options but the easiest way to do this is to have a adsl
modem with built in router I myself use a netgear dg834g (there are many
others avaliable)whereby you connect either by wire 10/100 t/base ethernet
cable or by wireless adaptors
Your internet logon details are stored in the modem/router the benifit of
this system is that you can access the internet from either computer without
the other being switched on
