Cannot mount "M" drive, disappear!

Today my Exchange 2000 server out of order, 2 main
services cannot start (Information store, System
Attendant). I think its because I disable a account
yesterday. Now I enable this account (have administrator
and domain administrator right), and change the
service "System Attendant" logon as this account. Then,
all of the Exchange services can start again, but I
cannot found the virtual drive "M" in the server. So I
cannot mount the Exchange database by Exchange System
Manager. Could anyone can help me for solve this
problem? Thank you very much!

You may need to change the account all of the services use to the one you
changed the System Attendant service. If Im not mistaken the M drive is
presented (mounted) with the Information Store service is started
succesfully. From your note, it look s like the SA service is starting with
the new account, but the Information Store service is not starting.

Hope that helps!

Hi - wrong newsgroup. I noticed that you also multiposted this identical
question to several Exchange newsgroups and you have at least one reply. See
it in microsoft.public.exchange2000.information.store.

If you need to post to multiple groups, it's best to crosspost - meaning,
post once to a handful of relevant groups in a single message (separate the
NG names with commas) so that everyone can follow the thread. Thanks :)

This is the wrong newsgroup. But anyway, the absence of the M: drive
should not affect the operation of ESM.

Cheers,

Actually, it does, because it indicates that the stores aren't mounting. In
E2k, if you didn't use the reghack to remove the M drive mapping, and you
don't see the M drive, you gots a problem.
