Cannot manage computer in child domain

If I try to manage a computer in domain child.mydomain.com, I get an access
denied. My account is located in mydomain.com and is a member of the
enterprise admin group. Any suggestions?

Start at the local machine and work your way up. Examine the Administrators
group on the machine-- if I recall correctly it will usually only contain
the Domain Admins group from the domain it belongs to-- not the Enterprise
Admins group.

Again, IIRC, The Enterprise Admins group is, by default, a member of the
domain controller's local builtin\Administrators group but not the Domain
Admins group.
