Hi there,

I've recently added a 2nd user account to my Windows XP
system and everything seems to work fine, except for the
fact that on selecting "Log Off" or "Turn Off Computer"
whilst in the new account, nothing happens, i.e. it is
impossible to leave the second user account. The mouse
cursor changes to an hourglass VERY briefly, then reverts
to the normal arrow, and everything seems to be as before.

The original account still works fine, in all respects.

Any information or help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Glen

I have the same issue, but not consistently. Something must occur that causes the account to get into that state. The interesting thing for me is that if I bring up the Windows Task Manager, and use the logoff button on the Users tab - the logoff works. It's just the logoff from the Start Menu that won't work.

Ah, I'll try that. Thanks.
