thanks,
I tried everything that the linked pages suggest. It worked on one of
my computers, but not on the other. On this computer, i have XP with
service pack 1 and Internet Explorer SP1 embedded. The computer on
which i got it to work had XP and updated service pack and patches,
so is the internet explorer. Do you think its the issue with XP with
SP1 embedded with it or the IE issue? Whatever it may be, please help
me to get this fixed. Thanks!!!

First, I don't know what you mean by embedded unless you mean that IE6 SP1
was automatically installed with WinXP SP1. No, I don't think that's the
problem.
First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back

I have XP with SP1 and IE SP1 with all the updates. And I do have spyware, adaware, spybot or anything like that installed on the machine.
