Cannot left-click some icons in Notification Area

I think that's what it's called...the "Notification Area". o_o
The bottom right part of the screen with the icons.

The system icons are fine (Volume, network etc.)

But in the other icons, sometimes, (it seems to be somewhat random), some
program's icon will not do anything when left-clicked.
(Usually, it would open up.)

It still can be right-clicked to open a menu, but not directly left-clicked,
or double clicked. Nothing opens, the icon just stays there.

I tested a bit, and when I restart windows, every single icon can be clicked
normally to launch their respective programs.
However, after I have clicked them open once, the problem starts, and it
seems almost random that *one* of the icons "jams" and refuses to be clicked
anymore.

This is really odd.

This is perhaps also related to your 'weird menu error'.

You've perhaps installed a new piece of software recently that isn't sitting
well with your other programs / context menus / notification icons etc.

A recent restore point with System Restore is also another option to try, as
is reinstalling any software that is playing up.
