cannot join windows xp to the domain

I having a problem of joining windows xp machine to the domain, it gives me an error message that say domain is not available

Can any one help me pli

ping the domain server first. Can the domain server accessible for you.

XP Pro or XP Home.

If XP Home, then sorry doesn't support joining domain
only workgroup.

You didn't say which XP you have, so I'll note that --
XP HE cannot join a domain; you need XP PRO for that.
