Cannot join domain

Trying to add a computer to a Win 2000 domain, I get the following error

"Your computer could not be joined to a domain because the following error
has occurred. Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the
same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all
previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again".

Networking work - I can see some of the computers on the network, but not
the server. I believe my TCP/IP settings are correct.

hey,

When you want to join a domain, enter the domain name,
and after the next screen , do not enter the name or
password, let it blank.
