cannot connect to domain

I get this message - HELP!!!! What the heck am I missing
here?

"The following error occured attempting to join
domain "keypakmachines":

"Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by
the same user, using more than one user name, are not
allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server
or shared resource and try again."

Huh?

Will try, but the client is an XP machine. He gets his
address from DHCP, no DNS info though and he can see all
the shares. I get the error when using the wizard - either
the Name Change OR the Network Connection Wizard - to join
him to the domain. He logs on locally at boot so he
doesn't get his logon script. Is this more clear? Sorry.
