Cannot join a domain ???

Dear all

I have a win2000 server system which is a domain controler and named nomos.netserver as domain name
Then I have a client XP professionnal system that I need to joing to that domain above

If I ping nomos.netserver from my XP system it is ok I can reach the serve
But when I try to join my XP system to the domain named nomos.netserver it fails saying that it cannot find the domain controler...

On my XP machine I am loged as an administrator user and I can access to all shared folde

What did I miss here

All servers and workstations should specify *only* the internal
AD-integrated DNS server's IP address in their network settings. The
AD-integrated DNS server should be set up with forwarders to your ISP's DNS
servers for external resolution. See
