Cannot install XP SP1

When i try running XP SP1 i get:

"Service Pack 1 Setup Canceled"

i have tried the regsvr32 fixes, but to no avail....

Is it a legit key? There is a key that starts FCKGW that has been
blacklisted and will not allow SP1 to be installed. Don't worry though
because from what I am told you will be able to update to SP2 without
worrying about a legal key (if this is the case).

Don't worry though
because from what I am told you will be able to update to SP2 without
worrying about a legal key (if this is the case).

That idea was touted, but unless there is a change of mind on
Microsoft's part before release of SP2 it will not work
