Cannot Install Vista 64

When attempting to do a clean install of Vista Ultimate x64, I receive the
following error at the drive selection screen:

"To use the product key you entered, start the installation on a computer
that is running a genuine version of windows."

I have installed this verion of Vista just like this repeatedly on this
machine, but I have had a number of problems (trying to dual boot with XP
x64, mostly) and have never had this message before. My copy is absolutely
genuine, as is my copy of XP x64.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
J

JDHAS:
The message that you're getting would indicate that you're using the
32-bit version DVD not the 64-bit version of Vista Ultimate upgrade edition.
With the Vista x64 DVD there is supposed to be a verification check that XP,
XP x64 or Windows 2000 are installed before the installation will continue.
Have a great day.
