Windows XP will not let me finish installing the printer software in order to add the printer. An error message is displayed that says there is a problem with Microsoft VM. HP stated intially that it was a chipset issue on my particular motherboard, but revised their comments to say it was an OEM problem with the operating system and the Microsoft VM issue and Java. Downlaoding the updated JAVA VM files had no correction of the problem.

Please provide comment or even a fix.

Have you installed the JVM? and what version is it ( check by typing jview
at the command prompt)
