Cannot insert the sheets in to the destination workbook

Hi,

We write a bespoke application for handling fabrics and textiles, one of the
functions of this software is it wii extract data from its database and push
it out to an Excel spreadsheet.

In most cases this works fine but we have come across a problem which I do
not know if anyone can help with.

When we run the report we get the message:

"Excel cannot insert the sheets onto the destination workbook, because it
contains fewer rows and columns than the source workbook. To move or copy the
data to teh desination workbook, you can select the dat, and then use the
Copy and Paste commands to insert it into the sheets of another workbook."

Our software creates an xls file and we are exporting to Excel 2007 so it
should be compatible the report that is run produces a spreadsheet containing
nearly 4000 lines only so should be ok.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks,

Anthony

Not sure but it could be that you have saved the file as an .xlsx or another
2007 specific file that does allow more rows and you are trying to put into
an .xls file.???
