cannot get updates using v5

I have updated to v5 of the windows update. Every time I
try to update I get one of two error codes: either
0x80010108 or 0x800a01ae. I can't find any way of
reinstalling version 5 of the update software or any other
solution that seems to work. Version 4 worked fine. I have
not got SP2
 
Have you tried posting in m.p.windowsupdate? You may get more help in
there....
