Hi John
I have downloaded onto my pc from Sony DVD Handycam. All is well when I play
on Windows Media - ie sound and vision. The file is a Movie Clip.
When I import from pc to Movie Maker for some reason it only imports Video
and not audio.
When I check the properties on the imported file in Movie Maker it shows the
file type is video. It only plays as Video. Other files previously downloaded
show as Video and Audio.
This has not been a problem before - do I need to change the file format
before Importing it - and if so how.

Hi John
Really sorry but I am going to sound like a bit of a dumbass here!
The file format is "Movie Clip" - buit I don't think that is the answer you
want - how do I tell what format it is? When I go to the file properties it
is "type" = Movie Clip?
I assume this is mpg? Don't know?
I FIGURED IT OUT.... AAAARRGGHHHHH - After 2 days of head scratching....
You need to convert the Audio format in Picture Package Viewer from Dolby to
MPEG Audio. so simple - but been driving me nuts!
Thanks John for your help - those file downloads will be useful at some point
Best regards
Tony
