Cannot get into the web addressses-Lost buddy list

Recently on my son's computer, he goes onto AOL but when
he puts in a web address (ie www.google.com) he gets a
message stating 'No Page to Display' and then a second
page stating 'Action Cancelled'. In addition, his buddy
list is missing. I have gotten no answers from Gateway,
the manufacturer, or AOL. I did a WINSOCK Installation
and also I bought WINCLEAN and cleaned all the files.
Is there anyone out there that can help me!!!???

If the PC has a firewall monitoring the system, make sure
that it isn't set to block AOL from accessing the web.

If AOL isn't being blocked, try entering
http://www.aol.com/ in the start => run box so that
Internet Explorer tries to access the web.

You can use AOL's site by entering your user name and
password.

Sorry, but for AOL issues you need to talk to AOL. You might consider
getting rid of it, but that's just my opinion.
