As I recall, they stopped including it in MDAC soon after they began
including it in the operating system. Win2K, I think?

oh great, so where can I download Jet?

Why do you need to? What version of Windows are you using? If it's Windows
2000 or later, it's already installed.

If you are running Access 2007, it has a new version of Jet that is
installed with it. I don't believe that version of Jet is independently
downloadable, but I could be wrong.

While I suspect you're doing your usual trolling, when you go to the MDAC
download page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/data/aa937730.aspx the
downloads for Jet are at the bottom of the page. (Yes, it's labelled Service
Pack 8, but it's the complete package, not just a patch)

Why you need to "Download" jet? Are you using Mac/Linux, instead of Windows?
Jet comes with all Windows OS. You only need Jet Serive pack if you use
older Windows, such as Win9x or Win2000. Of course Access2007 does not use
the Jet that comes with Win OS.

If since ADP can give you all IT solutions, why bother "download" JET, which
you already have if you use WIndows OS?

Sorry Chris. I do not know who you are, but I'm the one that originally
nominated Tom for MVP, and he was an MVP well before you began posting as
one. That is a fact that is indisputable.

I don't know why you choose remain anonymous, or if in fact you truly are an
MVP. I do know that your behavior in this thread is less than acceptable for
an MVP. This bickering needs to end, now.
