Cannot empty deleted items and cannot open attachments

I am having a problem opening my e-mail attachments. My granddaughter changed
the "open with" program to MSWord and now anything with graphics will not
open. I am also having a problem deleting anything. The message says that
Outlook Express cannot open the folder. HELP!

1) Have your granddaughter undo what she did.
2) Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup, like
news://msnews.micorosft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
3) Visit http://www.insideoe.com/
