Cannot edit word document

Hello,

I am using Office 2007. When I editing one of the word documents, it
autosaved. Afterwards, I was unable to edit anything. I might have
accidentally press some hotkeys or something but I am not sure. I had tried
saved it with another name or open in another computer but nothing work. It
didn't show an error message like the other which said the document is
locked. It just simply can't be edit, can't use the arrows to go up and down
but able to use the page up and down button. What can I do to solve the
problem? Thanks a lot.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for the reply. I figured out what happened at the end. I
unintentionally put a formatting and editing restriction to the document. By
removing the restriction from the protect document, the problem was solved.
Thanks anyway.

I'm glad you got it sorted.

Note that you can clear any editing restrictions (including forms
protection) from a Word document by inserting it into a blank document. In
Word 2007, you can access the Insert File dialog box via Insert tab | Object
| Text from File.
