Cannot e-mail an Excel sheet as an attachment.

Everytime I try to e-mail an Excel worksheet as an attachment, it is blocked
with the following message:
"Note: Viruses or unsafe files were detected in one or more attached files.
The following attachments were removed or cleaned: 8FC.tmp (removed)." The
file number changes each time. Can anyone help? I have to copy and paste
onto the e-mail I am sending but the format of the worksheet changes. Thanks
in advance.

I would say this is a function of your email application or your anti-virus
application settings.

It is not an Excel function.

Do you have macros in the workbook you're trying to send?

Thank you for responding. I have MSN Explorer - e-mail. I cannot find
anything in the email configuration or the anti-virus (AVG) to stop the
email. But, I do have a macro in the worksheet. Do you think that is the
problem?

The macros in the workbook will make the workbook "dirty" in the eyes of
your email application or your AV application.

My AV application allows me to scan outgoing emails for macros and block me
from sending them.

I use F-Secure provided by my ISP

I think MS Outlook can be set up to block outgoing emails but haven't
bothered to check.

I can't speak for MSN Explorer of AVG. I am sure the settings are there
somewhere in your configuation.
